Shakespeare Course for High School Students

Calling all high school students!

By popular demand, we have introduced a 4 week crash course in Shakespeare especially designed for students preparing for Standard 10 & 12 ICSE exams. Facilitated by our Shakespeare expert Jay, students will delve into the play in their syllabus, discussing each Act in detail. Jay has more than 30 years of experience teaching English - so any & all doubts that students have will be cleared.

Students will gain more than just academic excellence - Jay will also help students enact one pivotal scene from the play, encouraging them to find their creative voice & improve their diction. Students can also attend an optional free virtual tour at the end of the course to see the places where Shakespeare lived and travel virtually to the place where the play is set. Students will leave the four week course feeling confident & ready to face the board exams! The first session is free & open to parents, so you can decide if this course is for you!

This is an ONLINE session conducted on Zoom with experts joining from different parts of the world. A meeting link will be provided after confirmation of participation.

Course timings: 1 hour session - 3 days a week - for 4 weeks

What to expect in this course -

1 session - FREE first session to get to know Jay and the students. Attend with parents & decide if this course is right for you.
10 sessions - go through the entire play act wise with focussed discussion & clearing of doubts at the end of each act.
2 sessions - Jay facilitates re-enactment of one pivotal scene from the play by the students to improve diction & encourage creative interpretation.
1 session - FREE Catterfly signature virtual tour. Covers Shakespeare’s birthplace, London’s Globe theatre & the setting of the play in an optional bonus session.
