The décor of the entire homestay is a reflection of Revathi’s beautiful artistic aesthetics. The entire homestay is constructed in traditional style with tiled roof, pillared verandah and spacious common rooms. Accommodation is in five rooms, two in main house, two rooms as part of a single unit not too far from the main building and one independent room that ensures complete privacy. The passion they've put into making this beautiful homestay can be seen in the details of every little thing on the property. Be it the wooden pillars, the doors to each room, the door knocks, the copper vessel for water, the planters, the plants, the light design for natural light to fill up during the day. A special mention must be made about the use of the famed colourful hand-crafted Athangudi tiles throughout the house, including the verandah, and the window frames and doors crafted from old wood recovered from demolished homes.
The best part of the entire homestay is the warmth that oozes out not only from the property but also from the owners and the employees out here. The empathy and passion with which they serve you is out of the world experience. The local food here is awesome and the coffee is just excellent.
A range of indoor board games, hammocks, a well-stocked library and a nice bonfire in the evening makes the stay at the estate livelier and pleasant. A variety of outdoor treks, excursions, and sightseeing options adds to the charm of staying at the Silver Brook Estate. You can just walk through the coffee plantation or take a trip to Dubare elephant camp or go on a day trip to Nagarhole wildlife sanctuary, visit the Namdroling monastery.
Silver Brook Estate homestay follows ecologically sustainable practices like waste management, rain water harvesting, non-electric water heating system that uses waste wood from the estate and use of local South Indian traditional towels that need less water to wash.
So if you are looking for a laidback vacation with the luxury of a hotel, taken care by Yogesh (who has more than 22 years of experience in hospitality sector) and the warmth of a home (taken care by Revath) then this is the place to be.
