Snorkelling in Padangbai & around
Jepun, the furthest snorkeling site, offers a very shallow and colorful reef with a chance to see all sorts of incredible marine life. You might spot the entire ‘Nemo’ cast, parrot fish, octopus, moray eels, trumpet fish and lots more. The more adventurous may also swim out to the deeper parts with the hope of catching a glimpse of a timid reef shark or the snake-like looking barracuda.
Blue Lagoon, Bias Tuggal and Temple offer a different reef environment with scattered coral bommies and the occasional turtle, big ray or squid pod. With its sandy bottom, Blue Lagoon is a great snorkeling spot for families and beginners, since the waters here are relatively calm when the weather is normal.
