The Louvre Museum
1. Use the "Secret" Entrance: Carrousel du Louvre
- Expert Tip: Skip the glass Pyramid entrance. Instead, use the 99 Rue de Rivoli entrance or the underground entrance directly from the Palais Royal-Musée du Louvre Metro station (Lines 1 & 7).
- Why it works: This takes you through an underground shopping mall to the "Inverted Pyramid" security gate. It is climate-controlled and almost always has shorter queues than the main Pyramid outside.
2. Time it Right: The Evening "Nocturne"
- Expert Tip: Visit on Wednesday or Friday evenings when the museum stays open until 9:45 PM.
- Why it works: Most tour groups and families depart by 6:00 PM. The galleries become significantly quieter, and the atmosphere in the Cour Napoléon (the Pyramid area) is magical under the lights.
3. The "Mona Lisa" Sprint or Stall
- Expert Tip: If you have the 9:00 AM (first) slot, walk directly to the Denon Wing immediately upon entry. If you arrive later, wait until the last hour before closing (8:30 PM on late nights).
- Why it works: The crowd around the Mona Lisa is at its peak between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Outside of these times, you can actually get within a few feet of the painting without a 30-minute wait.

The Eiffel Tower
1. The Staircase Strategy (674 Steps to Glory)
- Expert Tip: Do not book the lift. Book a "Stairs to 2nd Floor" ticket.
- Why it works: The security line for the stairs (located at the South Pillar) is usually a fraction of the length of the lift lines. You get to see the intricate ironwork up close, and you can still take the lift from the 2nd floor to the Summit if you buy a combined ticket.
- Bonus Tip: Walking down the stairs is often faster than waiting for the crowded descent lift, which can have a 20+ minute wait on the 2nd floor.
2. The Best Photo Spot: Trocadéro at Sunrise
- Expert Tip: Do not try to take your "perfect" photo from the Champ de Mars (the lawn directly under the tower). Go to Trocadéro across the river.
- Why it works: It offers an elevated, perfectly framed view. To avoid the hundreds of tourists and street vendors, arrive at sunrise. You will share the platform with only a few wedding photographers and joggers.
3. Sunset & Sparkle
- Expert Tip: Book your entry for 30-45 minutes before sunset.
- Why it works: You get to see the city in daylight, watch the sun go down, and be on the tower when the "sparkle" begins (the first 5 minutes of every hour after dark). The crowds often thin out right as the dinner hour begins (around 8:00 PM).
