The theme for the third week included' Warli Summer Special Theme'. In which we have learnt how the summer season has its own importance and how after the end of the cold months of winter, the living beings including plants, animals, birds and others come out of their shelter and welcome winter in their own ways. This painting had a very distinct style from all the past work we have done. With blue background and different style, the artwork was very pleasing to the eyes.
The ending week of the March sessions brought the exciting theme based on the festivals of colours 'Warli Holi Celebration'. During this time, together with Sanjay Bhau we painted the beautiful scenes of Holi and Holika Dahan. The painting included the burning of Holika in the middle and scenes of people playing with colours, dancing, drinking and playing instruments.
The artworks in March were true depiction of not just life of people in Warli region but it somehow had resonance with our daily lives also.
March has already raised our bars of expectation in the field of Warli art form. Let's see what the month of April brings with it...
