To see the "old" Tokyo, visit Asakusa. Here, you can walk through the giant red gates of Senso-ji, the city's oldest temple. Not far away is the Tokyo Imperial Palace, the main residence of the Emperor. While the inner grounds are private, the outer gardens and massive stone walls are perfect for a historic walk in the center of the city.
