You can go off track or make your way up a goat track to the top of a mountain, or off track beaches taking in spectacular view of the Mediterranean, or perhaps explore the part of the barren landscape that has a moon-like quality. Most rental firms are open regular day hours with a short break during afternoon. It is good to book the quads in advance particularly during the high season.
