Journey deep into the Arctic wilderness on a guided winter hike through Korouoma Canyon, one of Finland’s most dramatic natural landscapes. Located about 1.5 hours southeast of Rovaniemi, this vast fracture valley stretches for over 30 kilometers and plunges up to 130 meters deep, transforming into a frozen wonderland each winter.

Between December and April, towering canyon walls are draped with dozens of spectacular, blue-hued frozen waterfalls—some reaching heights of nearly 100 meters. Led by professional Arctic guides, you’ll hike through snow-covered forests and descend into the canyon to view these icy formations up close. The experience is paced for enjoyment rather than speed, with time to photograph the falls and warm up around a traditional Finnish campfire, complete with hot drinks and a hearty outdoor lunch.
