A ride to suit both novices and more experienced riders. We ride at a leisurely tölt – the smooth running gait characteristic of the Iceland horse – from the farm of Kálfholt along the banks of the mighty Þjórsá river, surrounded by breathtaking mountain landscapes – with the accompaniment of the burbling of the river flowing by – while all around we see fields of graceful mares, powerful stallions and this year’s long-legged foals – all adding up to an unforgettable experience. The ride is followed by home-baked treats back at the farm.
