Discover the history of the brand and the production of the Emmentaler AOP on the new audiovisual tour. Find out how the master cheesemakers transform high-quality raw milk into the most famous cheese in the world. The highlight will be a tasting of the original Emmentaler AOP in the middle of the production and the ripening cellars. So curious to see what the cow, the mouse and the cheesemaker have to say? Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of Emmental AOP, the king of cheese.
Make your own "Stöckli" cheese
Traditional. Unique. The special experience in a special environment. Make your own cheese. Process 200 liters of milk into cheese in our Stöckli (a Swiss farmyard building) from 1741. After 4 months ageing time, we will send you your cheese (only possible to an address within Switerland). For guests from far away - there is also the possibility to reserve this offer without buying the cheese.

Tours through the Show-dairy: King's way - Self Guided
Prices: Children free (0-11 years old); Youngsters CHF 8.00 (12-17 years old); Adults CHF 15.00
Price per group: CHF 220.00
Time: Its done three times every day and participation is subject to availability.
Make your own "Stöckli" cheese: Duration: 120 minutes; Number: up to 25 people
Price for one loaf of cheese: CHF 430.00
Price for two loafs of cheese: CHF 690.00
- Special prices for families of two or more and groups of six or more. The self-guided tour lasts approximately 30 minutes and is open daily.
- The cost of a guided tour with the King's Way is calculated on the basis of a basic price for the group and admission to the King's Way: Price per group: CHF 150.00
- Traditional production 4:00 p.m. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday you can watch at 4:00 p.m. how a loaf of Emmental AOP is traditionally lifted out of the big kessi by hand. As before, a large cloth and a lot of muscle strength are required.
- The right time: Everyday at 10:10 and 15:10 the cheese curd is filled into the cheese press (forms).
