In this workshop, we will make a beautiful "Ram Sita and Lakshman" in Kalighat Jamini Roy's painting style with our native Kalighat artist - Mr Samir Chitrakar.
It is a detailed painting from the famous series "Ramayana'' by the Indian master Jamini Roy depicts the Hindu God Ram, his wife Sita and his brother Lakshman. Roy created this masterpiece series in Kalighat style with natural colors, using earth, chalk powder and vegetable colors instead of dyes.

This artwork is finished in 4 modules of 1.15 hours eachYou can pace yourself depending on your skill and experience in sketching, detailing and coloring. Enjoy the making of the artwork and indulge in bringing your personal creations and customization to the artwork.


Modules of the Workshop

Module Details :
Module 1: How to sketch
Module 2 : Giving the base color to the entire picture
Module 3: Giving of the outline with black
Module 4: Adding details with white and final touch-ups to the painting

  • Some colored drawing sheet / Chart papers / Canvas - A3 size
  • Pencils / Eraser / Sharpener
  • Black colour Pen / Thin marker
  • Colors ( Any water based - Poster / Fabric / Acrylic etc) and Brushes (0/1/2/10 number)
  • Bowl of water & rough cloth
